Who owns this, and on what terms.
AfrexMarket is owned and operated by Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd and runs on software licensed from Cabanga Platforms (Pty) Ltd in Botswana. This page sets out who holds what, and what you may do with it.
Who owns the market
AfrexMarket is owned and operated by Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa with its place of business in Midrand, Gauteng. Afrexpay is the party you contract with when you use this platform, and the party responsible for the trade desk, the introductions it makes and the transactions it constructs.
Who owns the software
The AfrexMarket platform was built for Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd under licence from Cabanga Platforms (Pty) Ltd, a technology company registered in Botswana. The software itself - its source code, its architecture, its data model, its interface design and the components it is assembled from - remains the property of Cabanga Platforms (Pty) Ltd. Afrexpay holds a licence to operate that software as AfrexMarket on this corridor.
What the licence covers
The licence grants Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd the right to run the platform, trade on it, brand it as AfrexMarket and serve buyers and suppliers through it. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying technology, and it does not entitle any third party to copy, licence or redeploy that technology by reason of having used this site.
Brand and written content
The AfrexMarket name, wordmark, logo and the whole of the written content on this site - the corridor explanations, the terms, the verification and payment descriptions and the trade desk copy - belong to Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd. They may not be reproduced, adapted or used to represent another business.
The illustration set
Every drawing on this site is original vector work made for this platform: the corridor scenes, the category art, the card scenes and the page illustrations. Copyright in that artwork is held between Afrexpay (Pty) Ltd and Cabanga Platforms (Pty) Ltd. It is not stock, it is not licensed from a third party, and it may not be extracted and reused elsewhere.
What you post stays yours
A requirement or a supply record you post remains your own commercial information. By posting it you grant AfrexMarket the right to display it on the trade floor without your company name attached, to index it, and to carry it to the counterparty when an introduction is made. Nothing more.
What you may do
Read the site, link to any page of it, search the trade floor and print or save pages for your own internal commercial use. You may quote a short passage with attribution to AfrexMarket.
What you may not do
You may not copy the platform or any substantial part of its design or code, scrape or bulk-extract the boards by any automated means, reuse the illustration set, or present any part of this site as the property or work of another business.
Components under their own terms
The platform is assembled in part from open-source components and typefaces which carry their own licences. Those licences continue to govern those components, and nothing on this page narrows them.
Regulated activity
AfrexMarket introduces buyers and suppliers and coordinates fulfilment. Regulated payment, settlement and foreign-exchange activity is carried out through appropriately authorised financial institutions and partners, not by the platform itself.
